Brake disc rust removal

Well 3 days riding has affected my discs massively , obviously I'd like them to look like new again , what's the best way to get the rust removed without damaging the discs?

The guy at PFM told me to use Scotchbrite.

I've got a can of that! Spray it then use a brillo pad kinda deal?

What should I use , will a sponge really shift it?

3 in 1 oil. Wont rust again.

Good coating of wax afterwards too, to stop it coming back....
