A year off and I’m thinking of returning.

Tried sports cars and spent a lot of money but due to a period abroad next year with work and not really being able to use them other than a very boring commute to work an F Type and Boxster S have both been tried and discarded luckily not at much of a loss.

I really fancy something that reflects my age, stature and mentality. I think it's a cafe racer style bike I'm after but Im a fussy bugger and some I see I think "that looks awesome" and others are proper "horrid".

What do I need? Budget is an issue. Probably £5k.

From what I know of you, I think any bike will struggle to meet your requirements at that budget, don't you think?

Faultless looks, engine performance, brakes, authenticity etc. Norton springs to mind but not even doubling your budget will suffice.

To be honest. If it looks awesome, but has adequate handling, brakes and power and sounds awesome that will do.

I'm head over heels with the Metisse Mk 5 at the moment but that is pricey!!!
