Seriously considering a GT as the next steed.

What's the fuel economy like Tel? May well use it for summer commuting next year.

Excellent ride out. Can't believe that the KTM is actually more comfortable than the Buell!!

for 150+ bhp, it's not frantic fast either, it's very easy to ride and complaint..... doesn't like choppy roads, but what sports bike does?

I really need to get out and learn some of the roads around where I live!!

Anyway, cheers for the tour guide services as usual Terry...... again soon.

Never really checked it. Roughly does 200 miles to 20 ltrs ish.

I still think the RC8 looks good after a good few years from release. Shame I cant ride one, due to dodgy hips.

Waiting to see what the 19MY looks like. Really want the QS and blipper.

The only negative thing, is the active suspension. There is not enough adjustment, to make it a bit more personalised for the rider.

But, some KTM dealers will dial in the suspension, though the KTM software. Watch this space. The engine is a peach, far to much power for me.

I do miss the engine braking of the 950sm, especially entering corners, it was like having another front brake. The 1290 seems to have softened it, therefore you seem to carry more speed into the corner, hence more braking.

BTW it has a QS, but not the blipper.

I like the brake light....... I've no idea where we were going so knowing where you're slowing down saves me launching in to corners!!

One of the most impressive things about the 1290R for me was the blipper combined with engine braking. Strange they've dialled it out on the GT.
