A Harley Sportster 1200 is a bike I'd like as a stable mate to the awesome S1000R.

And you call the FTR horrible.

You have lost it 😉
I don't remember a time when I've ever felt in total agreement with MOz before...

In Alzo's defense, if everyone liked them it wouldn't be a guilty pleasure now would it!?

GSX Katana
Laverda Jota
ZXR750 H2

Good taste.
Katana has to be the 1000, not the 1100.
There's a Jota in M&S Mototorcycles in Newcastle. Was drooling over it the other day.
ZXRH2 is a classic.

I have always loved the Laverda Montjuic. They looked and sounded amazing. And I always wanted a Bimota KB2 when I was younger.

Boys...boys...boys...I want to be like Arnie in Terminator... :azn:

Have you ridden one Alzo? I rode the Nightster (sp?) which I was led to believe was roughly the same thing...... and I was horrified at the handling! So much so I questioned whether it was broken!
I test rode one years ago...the dealer location was next to the M8 Motorway...I rode 10 miles East and back...and I laughed the whole journey...it was raw basic biking...no pretence...I did enjoy it...but fully accept it's no back lane scratcher.

The one I rode was pre rubber mounted engine...so it was agricultural in every way....I believe recent ones are a lot more civilised.

I've always wanted a proper super-moto bike for the road. The guilty part is that every time I see a hooded loonatic wheelie one through Manchester town centre with no number plates it only makes me want one more!

You are welcome to have a go on mine.

this one couldn't handle the taps being opened on a straight road that was cambered slightly..... think it might have been broken! Rode the 2018 Fatboy last month in Canada..... they do make a lot of sense out there!

Horses for courses...the roads and law enforcement make them the perfect choice.

How come Harley's always seem to get away with loud exhausts?? Does anyone on here actually know any Harley owner (embarrassing to admit I guess) who's been done for one??

A KR1-S. 55BHP and weighs next to nothing. And that 2-stroke smell... aaaah!  Oh, and that powerband!  :moto:

Nothing guilty about a KR-1S.
I had one back in the days of olde.  Mad bits of kit that liked shaking bits off the engine.  Forgot how many times I had to rebuild the powervalve linkages.  Industrial strength loctite and stainless screws I stole from work did it in the end.
