Take a look at any of the recent monoblock calipers fitted to any Jap sports bike.  They are all 108mm fitting and worst case scenario will only require some spacers to get the swept area matched to the disks.

ps what size discs does the B1 have (it's been a good few years since I had mine)
280mm

In that case forget what I put, or get some bigger discs

or just machine a little off the caliper mounting posts

I have standard discs, calliper and MC with hel lines and brembo pads on my B1 and I think the brakes are awesome. I was considering a after market MC but the brembo pads have made it so good that I'm not gonna bother

the stock brakes are far from crap and easily good enough for road decent pads and disks are the best bet unless you can get the mono blocks cheap when I had them on mine you did stop a bit sharper and you have a bit more feel but it never gave me an out of this world difference

Right, I stuck in a low bid for a pair of 2007 R6 gold spot monoblocks and this has been accepted (Shit, hope they have the same mounting hole distances). I'll be wanting to strip and refurb them before they go on the bike. I'm going to track down a pair of larger diameter disks to stick on there as well. Has any one got any idea what the largest set will fit, is it 310mm ?

In the mean time, where is the best place to get a key from to remove the piston covers ?

The R6 calipers will be the same - ie 108mm mounting points.

Woohoo. The calipers turned up this morning. Got a bit of a scuff on one of them (which is a shame, however, otherwise they look very clean. I want to put some bigger disks on the bike now (maybe 310mm or 320mm). I've seen a set of very unworn Brembo stamped Mille discs (310mm or3 20mm diameter) in a local breakers for sensible money, but no idea if the offset is close, or whether the carrier is the same size. Any experience on swapping disks out, and if so what else of larger diameter works on the 6R wheels (to replace the 280mm diamter standard discs) v ?
