Yep..... great to catch up with a few people and finally meet Matt and MC.... both dashingly handsome, and very generous with their tools (fnar).

Saturday was spent chasing an oil leak, a loose filter proved to be a red herring and it was finally traced to a faulty oil pressure switch........ then brake fluid pissing out all over my arm due to an un-tightened (by me) reservoir cover which finally resulted in almost complete brake loss..... thenkfully there's loads of run off.

This is the first bike since very early racing days that I actually prepared myself..... changed brake fluid and oil, and fitted new filter...... explains why I used to crash so much I guess......

Complete confidence crash on Sunday resulted in a drop down to novice (me!!) to get some clear track and try and get my shit together........ after a couple of tyre pressure and rebound tweeks I managed to get what I felt was some feeling in the front (could have just been confidence) and felt OK by the end.

By thunder the MV is difficult to ride fast until you sort your gear changes out...... it's so frikkin peaky!!.... felt OK by the end.

Felt rather degraded when a chap came over to admire my bike (a 4 grand MV pulling the crowds more than the far more expensive stuff it seemed!!)...... and then offered to scrub my sliders....... resisted the urge to say "do you know who I am?..... I was winning races when you were in nappies, you cunt"...... didn't though as....frankly.... he had a point!!

oh.... and my rear tyre got minced cos I'm such a fat fuck.

In summary, I'm shit, I've still to meet someone off here I didn't like, my bike looks great.

Good to meet you lord danoir. Pity the MV gave you a few problems on Saturday, but seemed like you had a clear run on Sunday afternoon. From what little I know of MVs it's maybe not the easiest bike to get up to speed on! They do draw a crowd though.

Always a pleasure to see MC101 as well... Mostly in a blur as he came tearing past on circuit looking like he could get off and stroll faster than me. And nice to meet jimmy, briefly, before he remembered he should be at a family BBQ and not dicking about on a trackday!!

September is out for me, I am in Aragon 11th-13th so will be collecting the bikes the weekend of the next event.

Careful Dan, that bike looks dangerously close to being leant over!
