In all my days on this planet I have never seen a Motorcycle on fire at a Petrol Station. Just saying.
And I will always sit on my bike filling up...because it's the way I have always done it...and I ain't changing it for no one. The End.

Doesn't mean it doesn't happen just cos you ain't seen it sunshine.

Neither have I mind....... But still......
It's not of epidemic proportion that would justify such legislation...if it was a daily occurrence world wide I would accept it...but I have never seen...read...viewed on TV...on T'internet...nor heard of such an event..
Groan...

Well.... If you're ever unfortunate enough to be sat refuelling your bike as you spill petrol all over your balls, just as a random spark occurs........ Let the last image which goes through your mind be that of my chubby little face mouthing the words "I told you so"

For the record, I'd be inconsolable at the loss..... Albeit moderately smug

Not usually one to caused a fuss, next time I'll use a pump not in direct view.

Another time I had nipped in on the bike to get some milk, no fuel, and was told I had to take my helmet off despite being at the counter holding the milk and the money
Do they make Burqa removal a requirement?

Contraversial.

More chance of spillage if a bike is tipped on its side...fact...do not dispute.

Why not...face covering and they can't be identified on CCTV...

They don't rob petrol stations though.

They just blow stuff up....

Baron Von Grumble has a vlog where he is getting petrol and he is told to remove his lid. So he removed it but covered his face with his buff or scarf (it was winter) so all you could see was his eyes and the petrol attendant thought this was fine and started the pump. The attendant couldn't see the irony in it all. Very odd

It's what happens when the stupid are given a rule and the authority to enforce it....

I've always got off to fill - they didn't have pay at the pump when I started riding and I'd rather not spill petrol on my nads.

I always keep my lid on when paying and never really had any problem. One or two moaned at me, but nobody ever refused to serve me.

But, try paying with a Scottish note anywhere in England, and they will lose their shit!

Always get off...can't see what the big issue is really?

I always fill up on the bike so the tank is level, and it's easier for my spazzy arms and hands to deal with the nozzle at that angle.  I'm more likely to spill it off the bike.

Only been asked to get off the bike once, and I've been asked to take my helmet off at the same petrol station.  After a short argument about me filling up there all the time and don't they recognise me by now, and the other argument about people wearing sunglasses, baseball caps and religious headgear, they just said 'don't know why we only target bikes, but we do', I just decided not to use that petrol station any more if I can at all help it.
