Tiiimmmaaayyyy

I had a GPZ600r back in '92 but had an A1p in 2004

I had a red J1, it was my first sportsbike,

it was my first knee down,

it was my first rideouts,

it was my first trackday,

it was my first project,

it was my first broken bone,

it brought me here.

I have a lot to thank that bike for.

my yellow j2 was my first bike and what brought me to this wonderful forum in the first place  :afro:

My first 'big' bike was an '03 A1P. The  went on  to have a '05 C1H, '07 P7f, '09 R9F and then a '13 EDF.

Can't find any pictures at the moment will have dig some out.

Can't even find a picture of my J2 - which is what started it - anymore!

Here's my B1, looking nice and shiny and new shortly after I'd picked it up from Lloyd Coopers.

I did want a B1 back then. Those brakes were incredible.

Never really warmed to the C, although I did enjoy it on track when I rented one.

Had a lot of fun on mine at Silverstone a couple of years ago

B1 was more of a weapon but a literal pain in the arse and hips for someone 6ft 2.

How you can tell I started out on 2 Strokes, still have a finger over the clutch :-)

Fastas......

Coming back to owning my own bike after the obligatory "having family" lay off was a G, from there I went to a brand spanking new B1, which still takes pride of place in my garage. It was the mutts nuts back then, I'd never ridden anything like it before and it put a big grin on my face. Having test ridden a few new bikes recently the urge is most definitely for a more suitable naked bike to fit my old bastard image (and back, wrists, arse......) But the Bee will never be sold.

Having said all that, my old man is still riding an 05 plate ZX10 fitted with a PC and quick shifter and the grand old age of 85 so there's hope for me yet!  :moto: :moto:

85 holy fuck. I'm 34 and am already struggling with sports bike's for size

Fastas......

Yeah, he's not slow either. Used to race many moons ago and is good friends with Peter williams who was racing at the same time. Apparently I was the result of a bit of bargaining, he said to my mum she could have another baby if he could go racing! That was 55 years ago! I've still not managed to persuade him to do a track day yet though  :moto:

My first bike was a j1 in 2005, the pics are from a ninja fest in 2006 at donington park, my second trackday after doing snetterton fest the year before. I got my knee down on the hairpin the last session before lunch. The trackday bug bit properly that day

After the j1 I lost my way for a while with a k5 gixxer but eventually straightened myself out and got a b1

My first Ninja was my G1 (if you don't count my KR-1). And that brought me here, to this site.

I had a lot of fun on that bike, including my first knee-down on the A7, I think (not pictured).

Followed by my C1 (and a lot of other people who seemingly loved looking at its arse).

No picture of the G1's air brake just for old times sake?
