I currently have 2002 KTM LC 640 Enduro, bloody lovely bike but a bit big for the stuff I do off road but she's sooooooo fun to ride on & off road and she's never let me down (even when I got her stuck halfway up a mountain)

However I've got a chance of getting a 2000 Husqvarna TE410e which I think would be better suited to the off road, I can't find much info about them or how they compare to the KTM

Advise me lads/lasses pros & cons
Life is the stuff that happens to you while you're making other plans.

1-600-matt

I have a wr250 which for the most is perfectly fine. Bit more power on the road would be useful, but it's easy to sit at 50-60mph. Did have a spin on a 450 husaberg and although the grunt was good at times, I can see how it could get you in trouble!! For muddy shitty tracks I find the 250 to be enough. Doesn't help much!!

Farmer Giles

I have limited knowledge on these but isn't the Huksy more 'race' biased and therefore will need more servicing and general looking after based on hours run where as the KTM is a bit more mainstream and therefore easier to look after based on miles and with spares availability etc...

Yes, exactly that FG.

The LC4 motor has pretty friendly service intervals.

The Husky (along side most other enduro bikes) will require an oil and filter change every 10 hours or so to really ensure engine longevity.
Significantly faster than you.....
