Whats the state of play with the gearbox?
As fuck ups with your flagship sportsbike go, this has to be up there with the best.  I bet the next R1 will be bulletproof...

Full engine drop split and main shaft and gears replaced.

At least Yamaha are fessing up and doing something about it. There are a few examples of similar problems on other bikes that the manufacturers just flat deny. The RSV4 is a great example.

Has that not been done yet ???  Mine done, gearbox mint -- alas cant keep it as a spare !!
