Could you not just buy the right Honda one and know it fits?
yeah for a lot more money , the one I've got was funnily enough recommended by a Honda main dealer......

Changed the reg and battery , not the battery it had in it but very close specs , started after a bit of a moan (not been started in couple of weeks) it's charging battery so looks good , my only question is about the battery I've put in it as to do I need to replace it , it was fully charged about 8 months ago has magically kept a full charge according to charger , the thing that's worrying me is ,it's been on a radiator for a couple of months is the heat from that going to have damaged the battery?

Fucking broke down on way to work , complete loss of power , am I correct in assuming that it is impossible for it to be caused by the battery as the bike was running?

You are WRONG. It could be the battery.

For gods sake just buy a brand new bike, and never do ANY work on it yourself!
