I had my licence revoked years ago for the same reason.

I retook my tests and bought a car.

Your licence comes back clean when you retake your test, I took that to mean a clean slate. So when they asked when I passed my test I gave them the date I passed the second time.

They ask if you have points, or have been banned.

The points were wiped and I wasn't "banned", it was revoked so I didn't declare it any of it. I never considered the implications of not declaring it until now! I am well past needing to declare it so doesn't matter now.

If its going to void her insurance then she really should tell her insurer when she gets back on the road.

My old man once said to me the value of a driving licence is worth way more than the cost of getting your licence so look after it..

Ninjaforce / Kent - Cambridge - Kent

I am setting off to Cambridge from Canterbury tomorrow morning with an empty Luton Van, picking up a desk and coming straight back again.

I don't need a luton sized van, but that's all I could get at short notice, so if anyone needs anything shifted, collected etc I have lots of space!

I'm not sure, was a few years ago. Checked my emails but I have nothing from them in there. I do remember that it was the guy that owned the company that I dealt with, if you can find that out, then it will be the same guy.

They quoted me a figure for the job, which I agreed to - only for him to charge me less. It was a significant reduction to the point I couldn't figure out, after fuel costs, how he made any money on that trip.

If its the same guy I wouldn't hesitate using his company again

I've used thebikemovers.co.uk before.

They are based in Nottingham, but arrange to collect bikes when dropping one off in the area of collection etc, so you don't incur extra travelling costs.

I bought a GSXR on ebay that was in Wales, he went and got it, rang me to confirm he had heard it start and run etc, confirmed all numbers on V5 matched etc too. He then drove from Wales to Kent to drop it off, stayed in contact during his drive to make sure I would be in when he arrived. Turned up with the bike, spares and all the paperwork that he made sure the owner had filled in correctly and charged me just £180.

Couldn't have made my life any easier, assuming its the same guy you wont be disappointed.

Tonbridge is a bit of a trek from mine, if you get really stuck I may be able to help you out

I did watch some guys review on youtube last night and it did look slow, but I put it down to normally riding a sportsbike.

Found a 04 LC4, a black one with just under 20k on clock for £2995, FSH , Akky Can and a years ticket

Sound reasonable?  I know nothing about them - will do some research later

Cheers

Bike Talk / DRZ-400SM
October 23, 2013, 08:44:38 AM
So I sold my GSXR with the intention of staying off two wheels for a while, bored of driving to work already so hunting around for a work hack I can use over winter months.

Found a cheap (sub 3K) 08 plate DRZ400SM for sale, only got 10k on the clock, which looks ideal for my 12 mile commute.

Anyone own/owned one of these, pros/cons?

Thanks

Andy

Does riding a bike with TC and other gizmos mean you ride past what is naturally instinctive?

If so then I can see why people my see them as "harder to ride"

Rossi on a bike with no TC and using the feel of the machine to know the limit is a skill he has mastered. Then chuck him on a bike where you can pin the throttle wide open mid corner because the electronics will allow it , accelerating at a point where on a bike with no TC will send you skywards (Pedrosa crash) for a "old school rider", that's got to be a difficult switch

I assume moto2 has a similar electronic programing? If so Marquez's performances on the same machinery cannot be equally compared to Rossi because he has developed his riding style based on relying on electronics rather than just instinct.
